Dr. Robert N. Taub is a leader in the field of mesothelioma research and medical techniques. He is the Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a medical oncologist who directs the Connective Tissue Oncology Program at the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, where there are several ongoing multimodality studies of patients with pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma. He has been developing a highly effective technique involving combinations of chemotherapy with surgery.

Dr. Taub also serves on the Science Advisory Board of the Mestohelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF). MARF is a non-profit organization dedicated to stopping mesothelioma as a life-ending disease.

His work has been recognized and awarded by the Israel Cancer Research Fund, the Mount Sinai Hospital and the American Cancer Society.

Dr. Robert Taub has been published in several medical publications including Biochemistry, Seminars in Oncology, Seminars in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and Current Therapy in Cancer.

Dr. Taub has served the medical community for more than 40 years in the areas of medical oncology, immunology, hematology, and internal medicine. Highlights of his career include:
